23rd Sept 2007 NEHYL U12 Girls Division 1
Cove Ravens 0 Beaulieu Belles Orange 10 We started the season away at Cove Ravens, an early goal set the tone of the match and settled any Beaulieu nerves. We moved the ball well at times but were a bit too eager in front of goal instead of setting ourselves and taking our chances we wasted several opportunities. They are areas of improvement to work on to ensure we get ourselves into the right positions in future games. The second half performance saw us move well and pass better, a pleasing point was the goals were shared amongst 6 of the 8 players. Everyone enjoyed the game but we cannot get carried away we must continue as in the second half. Beaulieu Goals were from Ella D'Alton (3), Charley Wemyss (2), Jaqueline Clarke, Olivia Larkin, Georgia Wenlock, Claire Turner and an OG gave Beaulieu the points. Cove to their credit worked hard to the final whistle. Beaulieu GOM was Ella D'Alton for an outstanding performance in Midfield including a well deserved Hat-Trick (Pictures) |

30th Sept 2007 NEHYL U12 Girls Division 1 Beaulieu Sharpays 0 Beaulieu Belles Oranges 3 The Oranges playing "Away" against the Sharpays always promised to be a tough encounter. The game was end to end with good play from both teams, the Oranges took the lead when Olivia Larkin diverted a shot into the goal giving the Sharpays keeper no chance to react. The game continued to flow with both sides pressing to score both defences working hard to limit chances. An excellent save from Jasmine Honey to stop a fierce shot from Sophie White the Sharpays striker kept the Oranges ahead. The second half carried on from the first until an Ella D'Alton corner was deflected for an unfortunate own goal two nil to the Oranges . The Orange defence of Jessie Mc Donnell and Claire Turner then controlled the Sharpays attack. Georgia Wenlock and Charlie Wemyss work tirelessly in midfield before Jaqueline Clarke scored a screamer returning a goal kick first time straight into the net three nil Oranges was how it finished. Credit to both teams for a thoroughly entertaining game, Oranges GOM Jessie Mc Donnell strong and quick in defence. (Pictures) |

7th Oct 2007 Camberley Town Royals 0 Beaulieu Belles Orange 1 (After Extra Time)
NEHYL U12 League Cup Prelim Round What a morning!! I have being trying all day to think of words to describe the performance but there are so many that I could use. The second half saw Camberley use the extra player with some good passing but Jessie and Charley put in some excellent work at the back, the midfield of Clare and Georgia were everywhere tackling, hounding and breaking forward to support Jaqueline up front who never stopped running from the first whistle. Credit to Camberley for never giving up and making it a fantastic game of football. There was no way of picking a girl of the match as there were six on the pitch as well as Ella supporting despite her injury I think she was kicking every ball with the girls. A final mention for the young referee who had an excellent game which helped everyone to enjoy the match.(Pictures) |

| A long journey to Liss this Sunday saw us gain another three points. This was the first time we had a full squad so it was nice for all the girls to get a game. We started with a new formation and were straight on the front foot, a super strike from Charley from distance gave us the lead. We were creating chances but the football was not really flowing. The Liss keeper made several good saves keeping the score to 1 - 0 at half time. The second half saw us keep up the pace and Ella was running strong returning after injury and she almost scored with a shot which was well saved by the keeper again. Jaqueline was always a menace up front and was unlucky not to score, and Olivia got our second with a deft flick from a long shot. Georgia was now beginning to run the midfield and got through several times and could have scored. Clare was moved to midfield and made some good tackles, while Jessie at the back was as commanding as ever (surely she must score soon) there was also a pleasing debut for Chloe who was not afraid to get involved. Jasmine had some work in the second half but was rarely troubled. GOM was Georgia for working well tirelessly in midfield. I think that I have solved the riddle of why we were not at our best and will work on this in training. A wet and windy morning greeted the players, which did not make for good football. But both teams put on a thoroughly entertaining match considering the conditions. Beaulieu started quickest and were soon in control after a return shot from the keepers kick by Clare Turner was helped in by Jaqueline Clarke 1 - 0. Beaulieu created chances but the Mychett keeper was catching everything that was thrown at her. Mychett started to impose themselves on the game as Beaulieu became stretched. A lack of tackling and pressurising the player with the ball allowed Mychett to equalise with a fierce shot from just inside the box which Jasmine got a hand tobut was unable to stop it. Half time 1 - 1. The second half Beaulieu changed tactics slightly to cope as there were no substitutes to use there was a concern of the players tiring and Mychett being able to swap their team around with the use of their subs being fresher. Beaulieu again kept battling and almost scored again from an Ella D'Alton free kick which hit the post and rolled along the line only for the Mychett keeper to kick clear everyone couldn't believe how it didn't go in. Clare Turner and Jessie Mc Donnell were both working hard in defence to keep the Mychett chances to a minimum. Charley Wemyss was working well on the left of midfield and along with Ella produced some surging runs through the Mychett defence causing problems. Jaqueline as ever was leading the line well and running for everything and was unlucky not to add to her tally as the Mychett keeper stopped everything with her legs. Chloe Benwell was settling in well in the second half in her first ever full game she battled hard and should be proud of her performance. The game was getting more tense as the final whistle loomed Mychett broke through only to be thwarted with a brave save from Jasmine Honey quickly closing down the Mychett attacker. Full Time 1 - 1 Beaulieu Girl of the Match Clare Turner excellent in defence and strong in midfield developing into a quality all round player really enjoying her football. 4/11 Div 1 Rushmoor Saints Rubies 0 Beaulieu Belles Orange 0
A game where we left the shooting boots at home and turned off the goal radar. The first half saw us off the pace slow to react and a little lost at times. We gave the opposition easy possession Jessie and Clare at the back kept chances to a minimum and when they were beaten Jasmine in goal was on top form with some excellent saves and commanding the box catching everything. Jaqueline up front was working hard as ever but was unable to get in any telling shots. Georgia broke through a couple of times but was unable to find the target. Ella was as forceful as ever in midfield taking players on and Charley on the left supported Jaqueline but again was another who was unable to convert her chances. Chloe came on and helped at the back with some good tackles to limit the Rushmoor strikers chances. The second half saw us up the effort and become stronger but despite creating chances did not really trouble the Rushmoor keeper. Again the defence was strong and controlled the Rushmoor attack On the whole a hard working performance, another clean sheet and still unbeaten. Girl of the match was Jasmine for a brave and near faultless performance. I believe with training being cancelled on Friday this didn't help in getting us focussed on the game, if this is likely again we may then train on the Saturday morning on the green as it is important to keep working on improving.(Pictures) |

11th November NEHYL U12 Girls League Cup 1st round Beaulieu Belles Oranges 1 Aldershot Town Girls 0
A cold and wet start to the match did not inspire the girls, fortunately the sun came out to brighten up the day and the girls. The match started with Aldershot being quicker to the ball and chances at both ends. Olivia after a three week break led the attack and was sharp around the box and carving out chances it will only be a matter of time before she hits the net. Charley on the left was bright and was willing to take players on, she had now started to strike the ball well and had a couple of good strikes both just passing the post. Georgia was busy on the right and centre putting herself in the way and passing well. Ella gave a strong performance in tackling and dribbling she had a free kick which also went just past the post. Clare dominated the left side of defence stepping in to take the ball and limiting the Aldershot chances. Jessie controlled the right hand side and was in control even driving forward and creating opportunities. Chloe was put in to midfield and worked extremely hard in tackling and working back for the team. Jasmine in goal was up to the challenge and kept all of Aldershot 's attempts out. Half Time 0 - 0. The second half saw Beaulieu take more control of the game creating chances and making the Aldershot keeper work hard. Ella and Olivia were now taking players on and getting to the box as the parents became more excited. Georgia had a shot that looked to be going in only to go round the post as the midfield started to take control. An injury to Clare saw Charley drop back to defence and Chloe back into midfield. Charley showed her versatility at the back with some excellent clearances up the pitch giving the Olivia the opportunity to score. Jessie was a mountain at the back and kept all things under control, the only time the defence slipped up Jasmine made things look easy with a fine one handed save down to her left. With the clock ticking towards extra time Beaulieu's pressure finally paid off when Olivia's shot was cleared only to rebound into the goal. Aldershot then threw caution to the wind in trying to get the equaliser this gave Beaulieu opportunity's on the break which would have finished the game off but this was not the case and Beaulieu worked hard to stop Aldershot to the final whistle. Final score 1-0. A super team performance puts us into the last 8 let's keep it going in the league. Beaulieu GOM Jessie Mc Donnell totally dominated in defence. (Pictures) |

| Another game played in terrible conditions a bitterly cold wind and driving rain came down just before kick off. We started very slowly and were quickly a goal down, just a lack of defending and watching the ball. The Aldershot player did not waste the opportunity and hit the back of the net with a fierce shot. A real wake up call and a test for the Girls, as we have not been a goal behind so far this season. I am pleased to say they responded with the right attitude no moans and groans just back to playing our game and moving well. Charley on the left was really flying and produced some excellent crosses these lead to our equaliser from Jaqueline who was leading the attack with great closing down and not being afraid to shoot. Our second was again from Jaqueline with a delightful touch and shot 2-1 Oranges . Georgia was impressive in midfield with strong tackles, running off the ball and supporting both Ella and Charley. Ella was working up a head of steam and was unstoppable on the ball I am still not sure how she hasn't scored more perhaps she is saving them up for the big games to come! Again like Georgia her defensive work was outstanding in tracking back and tackling breaking down the Aldershot midfield constantly. At the back Clare was keeping the left side quiet with good positional play and tackling, working well with Charley. Jessie kept the right side under control with her usual well timed challenges and some superb breakaways down the right ( Georgia super sense of positioning when Jessie bombs on). Jasmine had a quiet time in goal but was vocal to help the defence with calls of "Keepers" heard all around Hampshire! Changes midway through the first half saw Olivia and Chloe go left and right midfield, both settled quickly with Olivia working well on the left an Chloe despite her size willing to mix it with players double her size, all the Girls are not afraid to try and take players on none more so than Jessie with her breaks from the back. On one of these forages Jessie struck a shot which the Aldershot keeper failed to get behind and Jessie had her long awaited goal. The Half Time whistle went not long after and the girls were quickly over getting their jackets on to keep warm. More changes at half time saw Georgia and Charley back on. Georgia enjoyed the middle role and was all around the pitch, Charley again took up where she left off and was soon on the score sheet with a left foot drive from just outside the box, Jaqueline was still occupying two Aldershot defenders and allowed Olivia to get into some good attacking positions. It's always nice when a move works out and so it was pleasing for Jessie to score her second after being close to scoring on many weeks (I am not giving it away for everyone to read we can use this again and again). The final changes were made with both Jaqueline and Clare coming off with Clare having repelled all the Aldershot attacks was soon in her warm track suit. Ella and Chloe came back on into Midfield, Charley dropped to left back Olivia moved to striker. Again we continued to press with Ella , Georgia dominating midfield Chloe was on hand to tackle and break down any Aldershot breaks and herself was keen to take players on. Olivia up front was getting into good positions but was unable to convert any of her chances, this is not a problem it would be if she was not there for the ball. I will be working on the finishing elements with all the girls on Friday so we can put away more of our chances. An excellent team performance on a bitter morning, the team talk was shortened at the request of the parents I will give all the players their individual feedback on Friday night. Beaulieu Girl of the Match was Charley, excellent skills, work rate and attitude. Finally thanks to the Dads who helped to put the Goals away my hands were frozen, so must have been yours. 25/11 NEHYL U12 Girls Div 1 Haslemere Town Youth 0 Beaulieu Belles Orange 3 A trip to Haslemere saw us find better weather than recent matches. The first half saw Beaulieu start with a different shape to try and see how we can adapt. This worked well with all the players into the game from the start. The first half was end to end as both sides tested the opposing defences but there were few scoring chances as defence countered attack on both sides. Haslemere passed the ball well but their final ball was missing and Beaulieu were keen to use the width of the pitch in attack. Ella was strong in midfield winning lots of possession and providing good distribution of the ball, Olivia worked hard on the left taking players on and putting in some good crosses. Jaqueline up front caused the Haslemere plenty of problems. Georgia was outstanding in breaking down attacks and strong tackles when needed. Her reading of the game is improving and she carries out her defensive duties without being asked. Clare marshalled the opposition attack with her strength and quick thinking, she is improving game after game. Charley in her second role at the back on the left worked the flank really well giving Haslemere problems every time she went forward. Chloe came on and again demonstrated despite her size she is a match for anyone, great effort and determination. Jasmine in goal was her calm self and when called upon made things look easy. Stalemate at half time 0 – 0 as the scored indicated an even game. The second half saw Beaulieu revert to their normal shape and positional changes for players. There was now more pressure on Haslemere and Beaulieu took the lead with a shot from Charley which the keeper could only get one hand to. Clare and Georgia at the back now had to work harder as Haslemere pressed for the equaliser, the game was end to end with Ella covering every part of the pitch both forwards and backwards. Olivia and Charley kept the options open and some excellent passing led to the second goal again from Charley. Jaqueline was running everywhere and got a deserved rest as Chloe took on the strange role of striker. Heslemere to their credit didn't give up and continued to press but this allowed Beaulieu and Charley to get their third. Jasmine was quick off her line to quell any chances from corners as Beaulieu ran out winners of a very hard fought game from two sides who wanted to play football. Well done girls. Beaulieu Girl of the Match was Charley Wemyss super team performance and three goals from the golden boot.(Pictures) |
2/12 Beaulieu Belles Orange 3 South Reading Vixens 1 Another test for the undefeated Oranges today, against high flying South Reading Vixens who came with an unbeaten record in the League, was someone to lose that record today? The match started again in wind and rain as has been usual over the last few weeks, it was not a day for the faint hearted. The first half was an open affair with both teams throwing caution to the wind, the Vixens keeper was having trouble adapting to the conditions but was able to keep the Oranges at bay, Jaqueline up front was as usual keeping the Vixen defence busy chasing down everything and harrying players in possession. Charley on the left was showing her usual confidence on the ball and came close to scoring while Olivia was working hard forward and back as asked, helping out the defence and in attack she was also putting in some good crosses. Ella was dominant in centre midfield and full of energy driving forward causing many problems and was only thwarted by the post from her first goal in several matches. Beaulieu unluckily fell behind after a clearance from Jessie hit Clare in the face only to rebound into the box to the Vixens striker who calmly slotted the ball away. This gave the Vixens the edge and Jessie and Clare were kept busy staving off further Vixens attacks, a rasping shot from the Vixens defender from 20 yards looked like it was bound for the top corner only for Jasmine to get both hands to it pushing it on to the bar. Jasmine now had the bit between her teeth and was catching everything the Vixens threw at her dominating the box and driving the team on. The half time whistle blew just as the heavens opened everyone was rushing for cover under umbrellas and coats made in to tents, despite this the Oranges huddled and listened to the manager and coach as to how to get back into the game. It wasn't long before the Oranges were level Ella picked up the ball in midfield moved towards the Vixens goal and let fly the Vixens keeper had no answer as Jaqueline obscured her view. Now with their tails up the Oranges kept the pressure on the Vixens and Charley down the left also got on the score sheet with a left foot drive. The tricky Vixens no7 was a constant threat but was unable to find the net as Jasmine with assured handling despite the conditions stopped everything including a sliced clearance from Jessie down low to her right that would have gone in. The only time she missed one the post came to her rescue (the same post as in the first half that stopped Ella). The Vixens now changed their shape as they tried to get back into the game Clare was assured at left back holding up the attack and Jessie was cutting out the attacks down the middle and the right. A change in tactics from the Oranges wrapped the game up when Charley crossed from the left to Olivia who stole in at the back post to score the third. Beaulieu GOM was Jasmine outstanding performance in goal dominating her area and great shot stopping. At the final whistle the Oranges gave the Vixens side three cheers for their hard work during the game. A super performance from the Oranges and a well deserved victory maintaining their unbeaten start to the season. It really is a pleasure to work with such a humble set of girls where the ethics are to play for each other, enjoy their football and be gracious whatever the outcome. |
| 9/12 NEHYL U12 Girls League Cup ¼ Final
Beaulieu Belles Orange 0 Camberley Town Rebels 5 This was going to be our toughest game yet this season against Premiership high flyers Camberley, who are one of the best teams in our age group. We got off to a slow start allowing Camberley plenty of freedom for which we paid for by conceding within 5 minutes, after which we continued to stand back and we admired the passing skills of Camberley and with it conceded another two goals one was a shot which went in by the near post and the other a stunning strike from outside the box which had goal written on it as it left the boot. We rarely troubled the Camberley keeper as it was difficult to penetrate the defence the only shot to mention was from Ella with livened up the Beaulieu crowd. At the other end Jasmine was kept busy but relished the challenge and kept the score respectable. At half time a few words of where we were going wrong and encouragement sent the girls back for the second half. This was a different half entirely the girls did as asked and got closer to their opponents Jessie working well at the back with Clare holding up the attacks as we worked as a unit to stop the flow towards our goal Charley and Olivia worked hard with new belief and were full of running when we broke away with Olivia coming close to scoring. Ella again had her shooting boots on as we made the Camberley keeper work this half as we showed what we could do when we worked instead of allowing our opponents to dictate. Georgia was working back and forward running everywhere for the team, Jaqeuline up front as usual never stopped running in closing players down, creating space and never giving up. For twenty minutes we kept the score at three nil and with the chances being created I changed the formation to try and get something from the game having two strikers. We now were stretched and with Camberley using their sub's well they now found space again and they quickly scored another two goals but not before Jasmine proved what a good keeper she is in denying Camberley more. I was pleased with the team's second half performance as they refused to give in against a very good side that could possibly do the double this season winning the Premiership and the Cup. I now know where we need to work and we will continue with our improvements by working hard at training. I would like to wish Camberley good luck in the rest of the season in all competitions. Beaulieu GOM Georgia Wenlock all action performance. (Pictures) |
6th Jan 2008 NEHYL U12 Girls Division 1 Beaulieu Belles Orange 6 Camberley Town Royals 0 We started off the year playing the team we should have played before Christmas which was called off due to the pitch being frozen. A frost had again covered the pitch but the game was never in doubt as the sun shone brightly ensuring the game went ahead. Beaulieu started brightly and had several chances saved by the Camberley keeper who was in excellent form keeping her team in the game, after which Beaulieu took the foot of the gas and were allowing Camberley to have easy possession and move the ball around. It seemed that Beaulieu were still is the Christmas spirit not competing enough and working together as a team, with the half time score of 0 – 0 the team talk was interesting. The second half started as the first with Beaulieu on the offensive and not being so generous in making it easy for Camberley to make any chances. Jaqueline put in lots of running on and off the ball helping to create chances opened the scoring with a well taken goal, it wasn't long before Ella added a second from a free kick on the edge of the box into the top left hand corner. Beaulieu now had their tail up and looked like scoring every time they went forward, Ella's second goal could be goal of the season as she unleashed a rocket that two keepers wouldn't have saved, Olivia who was impressive in taking players on got the fourth, before Ella got her third and Beaulieu's fifth. Birthday girl Georgia got her birthday goal but must have thought she missed her chance having blasted over minutes earlier 6 – 0 to Beaulieu. Despite not scoring Charley played well to orders in both midfield and defence and was another who was happy to take players on. Both Clare and Jessie again impressed with their teamwork and commitment working up and down the pitch supporting the midfield and attack. Jasmine in goal had only one save to make in the game but she kept her concentration going by vocally assisting the team. Beaulieu GOM Ella D'Alton for three goals which she has threatened to do all season let's hope she continues to score. Finally a mention for the Camberley team who worked hard and never gave up despite the score and for the keeper who kept the score down with some super saves good luck for the rest of the season. | Farnham United Vixens 2 Beaulieu Belles Orange 4 With the Farnham pitch being waterlogged the match was switched to Bramshill. The pitch was in excellent condition but a strong wind made it hard for both teams. With the wind behind them Farnham scored with their first attack again Beaulieu were guilty of starting games slowly and inviting their opponents on to them. After that Beaulieu settled down and moved the ball well pushing Farnham back and it wasn't long before Jaqueline got another hard earned goal to equalise. Then the game went end to end and a super strike from the Farnham Right Midfielder went over Jasmines head and Beaulieu were behind again. Beaulieu then had to chase the game again and had several chances but found the keepers hands too often. A break from midfield from Ella down the right, followed with a good cross to Olivia who calmly slotted the ball away 2 – 2. Georgia, Ella and Olivia were controlling the midfield and limiting the Farnham chances. The first half ended at 2 – 2 a just reflection on the half. Half time saw the Manager stir the girls up with a switch in tactics. Now with the wind behind them the tempo of the game picked up and Farnham were forced backwards, Beaulieu looked dangerous with every attack, only stout defending and many excellent saves by the keeper kept the score level. Charley and Chloe were now working hard in midfield and pressing the opposition at every opportunity Ella was a driving force from midfield and created many chances which Beaulieu failed to put away. Clare and Jessie now were swapping in pushing forward for the next goal and it was a super forage forward and shot from Jessie that was deflected passed the keeper that gave Beaulieu the lead for the first time in the game. The two Farnham strikers now became a threat again as they pushed for an equaliser but they were well marshalled by Jessie and the strong tackling Clare who put every ounce into her tackles, an excellent catch above her head from Jasmine ensured that the defence when beaten had Miss Reliable in goal. Georgia almost got her second goal in two weeks but again the keeper tipped her shot over the bar. Jaqueline came back on upfront to cause the Farnham defence more problems with her all action style which allowed Charley space on the left to cut in (with the manager calling for the cross) and calmly slotted in the fourth goal to wrap up the game. Beaulieu GOM Olivia Larkin for a livewire performance in midfield and attack. A super second half performance, well done Girls what we now have to do is start off like we did in the second half from the beginning. (Pictures) |
20th Jan 2008 NEHYL U12 girls Div 1 Beaulieu Belles Orange 0 Farnborough Athletic Hotshots 2 The clash of the top 2 teams in Division One looked an exciting prospect and the game didn't disappoint. Beaulieu started the quicker putting togehter some good moves but were unable to trouble the Hotshots keeper as very few attempts found the target. The Hotshots then began to get into the game with some strong runs from midfield keeping Jessie and Clare busy at the back. Beaulieu fell behind after failing to clear a cross from the right, passing through several players it fell to he feet of the Hotshots striker who calmly put the ball away. This was not unusual territory for Beaulieu recently as they have trailed in three of their last four games. The midfield of Ella, Charley and Georgia kept plugging away and with the help of Jaqueline up front continued to create chances, Olivia also worked hard on the left linking well and passing the ball all around. Despite creating pressure Beaulieu went further behind after another cross from the right was deflected and Jasmine could only get fingertips to the ball which fell into path of a Hotshots player to tap in. Half time Beaulieu trailed 2 – 0, the manager gave another rallying team talk and the girls went back into the game ready for action. The second half started much the same as the first with Beaulieu applying pressure without any result, Ella was now getting on top in midfield and was unlucky not to score with a shot which went just over the bar, her corners also provided opportunities which were not converted. Charley down the left also had some shots but they were off target, Jaqueline ran her heart out keeping the Hotshots defence on their toes. As Beaulieu pushed for a goal the game started to get stretched and Olivia and Georgia were up and down the pitch as the Hotshots having absorbed Beaulieu's pressure were now counter attacking with force, and could have gone further ahead without strong work from Clare and Jessie and Jasmine in goal determined not to concede any more. With time running out Beaulieu were throwing players forward to try and get something as Jasmine was launching her long kicks from the back, but the Hotshots held on to keep their unbeaten record intact. A super game of football from both teams which was enjoyed by players and spectators, a mention for the referee who kept the game flowing and played his part in making the game what it was. A difficult decision for Beaulieu GOM as everyone gave their all in a very close game, eventually it went to Clare for all round effort and commitment in the tackle. (Pictures) |

Mychett Athletic Panthers 1 Beaulieu Belles Orange 3 After missing a week due to a waterlogged pitch a fast start by Beaulieu set the tone for the match, Olivia put us ahead after only one minute on the clock in virtually our first attack. Beaulieu then created chance after chance but were unable to increase their lead due to some excellent keeping and defending. Georgia was driving the team forward from the right getting into some good position's, Charley on the left was busy in supporting Olivia and was a handful with the ball causing Mychett problems. Ella again was strong with the ball and always looked like she was going to score. With the missed chances Mychett began to grow in confidence and forced their way forward, Jessie and Clare were now called upon to make sure we kept our lead. Mychett then forced several corners and Jasmine found herself picking the ball out of the net after an unfortunate own goal from Georgia . Again and again Beaulieu drove forward with Jaqueline leading the line but the half ended all square 1 – 1. As is usual the second half performance saw Beaulieu improve their play, Ella was now breaking up play in midfield and moving the ball around well, Georgia was supporting the whole team with energy and commitment. Jaqueline was working so hard up front with good movement and passing got her reward with another goal putting us ahead. Again more excellent saves from the Mychett keeper stopped Beaulieu increasing their lead, now both Jessie and Clare were also picking up the loose balls on halfway line and put through some great passes and the odd shot. Mychett were limited to break away chances but were well marshalled and Jasmine kept her concentration in stopping any chances Mychett created. Beaulieu's third goal came after some excellent passing between Ella and Olivia followed by a cross for Charley to put away. Charley could have added to her tally with a super left foot strike which was heading for the goal and was kept out by the keeper's legs as Beaulieu continued to try and add more goals. Girl of the Match Georgia for great work in midfield and attack kept going despite the unlucky own goal, overall a fantastic performance. The good thing about today was the amount of chances created with virtually everyone on target, we will now work on placement and power. |

10/2 Farnborough Athletic Hotshots 2 Beaulieu Belles Oranges 0 Another tight game between these two teams despite the score line. The games was end to end as both sides testing the defences, Jessie and Clare were working as well as ever together limiting Farnborough chances. Jasmine in goal was on top form and dealt with all shots well and was alert to get her fingers to a cross which she tipped away from a waiting Farnborough striker. At the other end Jaqueline was enterprising and showed some good movement, holding the ball well and playing some good balls to get the midfield in on goal. Ella as always was threatening driving forward with some surging runs keeping the Beaulieu supporters on their toes. Olivia showed some good first touches and worked hard in all areas of the pitch. Charley again on the left made some good runs and put in some great crosses causing problems for the Farnborough defenders. Georgia came on and didn't disappoint despite being under the weather before coming off injured. The first half ended all square at 0 – 0 as everyone needed a break from a very fast game including both sets of supporters. The second half continued as the first half ended with neither side giving way. Both sides were creating chances but were unable to score, Farnborough eventually broke the deadlock after Beaulieu failed to clear a long throw into the box. This only spurred Beaulieu on more with Olivia shooting just wide, and a shot from Charley only kept out by the keepers foot kicking it away, Farnborough scored again from a breakaway after a cross from the right ran into the path of another Farnborough striker. A change in formation still saw Beaulieu continue to fight and Ella was unlucky from a corner when the ball passed everyone and ran along the line only for the keeper again to kick the ball away for another corner (I am still not sure how it never went in!!!). The final whistle went and both sides shook hands after a fantastic advert for girl's football with all the supporters having been entertained and both Managers reaching for the oxygen bottle!!! Beaulieu Girl of the Match was a difficult decision as every player was outstanding but it eventually went to Jaqueline for a hardworking performance and some good link up play. A super team performance full of determination, with some moves from the training ground beginning to develop and also bits of improvisation which was pleasing. At the team talk I spoke of where we went wrong and that's what we will be working on as we continue to take each game as it comes till the end of the season. |
24th Feb Beaulieu Belles Orange 0 Haslemere Town Youth 0 With last weeks game cancelled and half term with players having been away we played hosts to Haslemere Town Youth. Despite one or two bright bits of play it was our worst performance as a team this season, we were unable to put together many passes and were a lot slower to react than usual it was like we were in “holiday” mode. We created very few chances despite having plenty of possession and Haslemere played some good football moving the ball well but they were also unable to make any impression on the score sheet. Beaulieu GOM Charley Wemyss looked dangerous with the ball going forward and putting in some excellent corners. We have things to think about and work on at training and we do not have a game on Sunday as this has been postponed till the end of the season, perhaps a blessing as it will give us more time to get things back on track before playing the team in second place in the league. 9th March NEHYL U12 Girls Div 1 Beaulieu Belles Orange 4 Mychett Athletic Panthers 0 After a weeks break we faced Mychett Athletic Panthers who are having a tough time since the split in the league. The weather this time was not going to be a factor and allowed for some entertaining football. Georgia was given the ‘Captains' armband today and also an unusual position of Left back. After recently winning at Mychett it was up to the girls to not get complacent and play football as they can looking to get maximum points again. It was soon apparent that Mychett were not going to give the points up lightly as they battled every ball, Jaqueline was busy up front and was unlucky not to open the scoring shooting over the bar after good work from Olivia in setting her up. Charley was about the busiest I have seen her and was a handful providing crosses and shots that kept the Mychett keeper on her toes. Clare partnering Georgia at the back was dependable as ever and also nearly scored with a blistering drive which went just by the right hand post. Ella was also denied a goal by a double save from the Mychett keeper, who was now getting busier as the game went on. Olivia was tireless in midfield creating chances for herself and others. Mychett were defending in numbers and getting blocks in to keep Beaulieu at bay and were also dangerous on the break, Georgia looked to be relishing her new role and challenged for everything not losing out many times. Mychett did force their way through and created some excellent chances but Jasmine kept her concentration and produced some good saves and showed bravery in diving in amongst boots. Half Time 0 -0. The team talk was one of the calmest recently as we were playing well it was a case of more of the same please. The second half started with pressure from Beaulieu as the midfield took hold. Charley was now demanding the ball and went on several runs at the Mychett defence forcing more corners despite getting a blister for her troubles. Olivia on the right was now showing the skills that have been missing this year and opened the scoring with a shot that the keeper failed to hold. This then buoyed up Beaulieu it wasn't long before Olivia made it two after some excellent skills down the right. Ella had also found her touch again and ran with the ball effectively providing some super passes. Clare wasn't afraid to drive forward from defence with the ball and supporting the midfield. Jaqueline was proving a handful with determination and helped Olivia get her Hat Trick which she thoroughly deserved. Mychett now threw caution to the wind and came back into the game forcing Jasmine to make a super save from long range which would have been a goal against many other team, as well as close range saves. Olivia came off injured and Beaulieu got their fourth goal courtesy of Georgia which by some accounts was a stunning goal which summed up Georgia 's performance (I was dealing with Olivia and missed the goal). Mychett to their credit continued to work hard and never gave up. Final score Beaulieu 4 Mychett 0. Beaulieu GoM Olivia Larkin finally found her form from last season let's keep it going until the end of the season.(pictures) |
30th March 2008 NEHYL U12 Girls Division 1 Farnborough Athletic Hotshots 4 Beaulieu Belles Oranges 2 Well how do I start? Well I believe it's only fitting to Congratulate Farnborough on winning the Division 1 championship in excellent style. They are the strongest team we have faced and I have enjoyed every game we have played against them, even though they were all defeats they were always well contested and close affairs with both teams playing some super football. We went into the game know that at defeat would make Farnborough Champions and were determined to ensue they had to work to achieve their aim. As everyone is aware I do not fantasize about how the games pan out, as I believe if the players read they played well when they didn't how are they going to improve, this report will be no different. From the first whistle Beaulieu put the Farnborough defence under pressure with some excellent approach play and shots that were on target. Unfortunately the Farnborough keeper was proving tough to score against (Again) making two saves in the first few minutes as Beaulieu threatened to score with each attack. Farnborough had to work hard to get a hold on the game and were well contained by the Beaulieu midfield marshalled by Georgia, who were tackling and harrying every ball. Beaulieu eventually opened the scoring with what is our best goal of the season so far, a cross from the right was met on the volley by Jaqueline giving the Farnborough keeper no chance. Farnborough continued to try and press for the equaliser but Jessie and Clare were working well at the back and Jasmine was commanding the box from corners, catching crosses and made a stunning one handed save to keep the lead. There was lots of invention from corners as Beaulieu grew in confidence Charley and Ella both had shots blocked and Olivia caused different problems when she came on using her pace well. Jessie had a shot that was heading for the top right hand corner which produced another excellent save from the busy Farnborough keeper which kept the score down to 1 -0 at half time. The team talk was about continuing as we started and within 45 seconds of the second we were 2 – 0 up as Farnborough were caught napping Georgia stole in behind the defence for a well worked goal. After this Farnborough began to move the ball about better and it was not long before they goat a lifeline back into the match after we failed to clear the ball in the box allowing a simple tap in. This rejuvenated Farnborough and they were soon level, the next few minutes saw us become unsure about what to do and conceded a third after a mix up in the box, after this I think the result was inevitable as Farnborough pressed and scored a fourth. The good thing was at least we made some more chances to get back into the game and it wasn't in no way as bad as the score might suggest. I am sure Farnborough will not forget our games this season especially the last one where we really showed what a good team we are and apart from ten minutes of losing concentration and allowing them in they could have had no complaints if we had taken all three points. This was an excellent team performance so the GoM went to the whole team, lets continue to play like this till our last game. This weeks training will be interesting as there are a few new things to work on from the game as we prepare for the final push at the end of the season. (Pictures) |
20th April: NEHYL U12 Girl's Div 1: South Reading Vixens 0 Beaulieu Belles Orange 4 A visit to second place South Reading Vixens awaited Beaulieu today having had games cancelled the fixtures are piling up despite walk all around the school we were there in time to warm up. We were eights points behind and needed a win to keep our momentum going, despite beating the Vixens earlier in the season the girl's were warned not to take things for granted we only had seven players so there would be no rest. The Vixens started brightly and were moving the ball around well, Beaulieu on the other hand were a little off the place early on. Beaulieu were fortunate to take the lead with a goal from Georgia which looped over the Vixens keeper. Beaulieu now began to work better as a team and Jasmine provided her usual kicks which allowed Jaqueline and Olivia to push the Vixens defence back, the Vixens to their credit fought back strongly and could have equalised on a couple of occasions but Jasmine was on top form to keep her goal intact. Clare and Charley in defence were working well in tandem but as they had not played together in this position for a long time it took them a while to settle. Beaulieu were a little guilty of not moving the ball quick enough giving the Vixens the opportunity to close us down creating our own pressure. The midfield of Ella , Georgia and Olivia were now beginning to warm up and produced some good moves with Jaqueline up front working all around and keeping the Vixens defence busy on her own. Half time Vixens 0 Beaulieu 1. A change in position for the second half, individual and team instructions given now Beaulieu were set to start the second half strongly. Charley now back in her normal position proved to be a menace for the Vixens with storming runs down the wing and crosses that Jaqueline and Olivia were both getting to and the Vixens defence were constantly under pressure. Olivia took her lead from Charley and was strong on the right wing and produced some excellent speed and control. Beaulieu were awarded a free kick near the half way line Jasmine was summoned to launch her customary bomb into the area which the Vixens failed to clear and Ella was on hand to score with a right foot shot. The Vixens still had the odd attack and Georgia now at left back along with Clare shut down the attacks and with some good passes out of defence, one of these released Jaqueline who provided a deft lay off for Olivia who took the ball on and after her first cross was blocked crossed again for Charley to bundle the ball in to the goal 3 – 0 Beaulieu. The girls now had the tails up and the Vixens goal was now under bombardment the only thing missing was direction as too many shots were wide of the target. As the Beaulieu pressure began to tell Ella seemed to get to every loose ball and with encouragement got her second and Beaulieu's fourth to seal the points. A good team performance from the Girl's today putting the Farnborough result behind them, playing with a lot of skill and commitment. The Girl of the Match was a difficult decision as all the Girl's had done extremely well, but the award went to Olivia Larkin for excellent work in midfield and some super crosses proving that hard work does pay off. |
24th April NEHYL U12 Girls Div 1 Camberley Town Royals 0 Beaulieu Belles Orange 0 Our first evening game was a night to forget, the first half saw us have lots of possession but being unable to do anything with it. Despite pressing the Camberley defence only once did we force a save from the keeper, we were moving the ball around midfield and when we got in and around the box we were just not getting things right. A lack of talking and moving the ball was the main failing. The second half couldn't be any worse than the first or could it! Having been given a few areas to improve the second half saw us starting quicker and pushing Camberley back, Ella could have started he ball rolling with a shot destined for the goal only for the Camberley keeper to make the first of several good saves, Jessie also came close from a corner as did Georgia. It seemed like only a matter of time before the goal would come, Jaqueline and Olivia both had spells up front and we busy but again could not get passed the keeper as shots went wide and also hit the keepers legs on a couple of occasions. Jasmine delivered one free kick into the box which on another day we would have cored but we wanted too much time on the ball. Clare was strong in defence and worked well on the left with Charley who was suffering with her asthma but she still produced some excellent corners and crosses. Camberley defended strongly to their credit getting lots body's behind the ball and may have snatched all the points with their only telling shot on target in the game late on but Jasmine showed that despite having little to do her concentration was as solid as ever. It was one of those games where you have the majority of the ball but if you don't make use of it you don't get anything from it. Beaulieu Girl of the Match Ella D'Alton midfield dynamo, working hard and unlucky not to score. (Pictures) |
