9/9The Veterans started off their season against FC Bracknell with probably their worst performance since being formed. It wasn't so much the standard of football being played it was the constant arguments breaking out across the pitch amongst the Beaulieu players. Unfortunately it seemed at times more effort was spent arguing than concentrating on football. To cap it all in the second half Beaulieu lost their keeper after he collapsed on the pitch with a suspected severe knee injury, Paramedics and Ambulance were both called. Fortunately after a visit to Frimley Park it turned out to be nothing more than injured pride from conceding so many goals.
Result 7 - 1 Defeat.

30/9 Next up were Ascot Utd. A much better performance form the team after the events of the first match. Ascot are by far the best team we have come across so losing 2 – 0 was not too bitter a pill to swallow. However the game was marred when Darren Savill left the pitch with an ankle injury, tests later proved he had snapped his Achilles Tendon, ouch!! Several weeks in plaster & on crutches followed.

14/10 Following on from Ascot was Broadmoor, not really a Veterans team with the amount of youngsters in the side but a team we have played before and done well against. A game we played well in at times then bloody awful at others. Came from behind on more than one occasion and then conceded virtually from the restart, worked hard to get back to 3 all then fell apart. It must be said that during the match we did have plenty of opportunities to score but sadly missed Darren's finishing, work rate and most of all inspiration of others (tongue firmly in cheek for last comment).
Final Score 6 -3 Loss.

28/10 How did we ever lose this one! Chobham were next on the fixture list. To be fair we played some decent football, absolutely battered them in the second half, by far enjoyed the majority of possession but as the saying goes, couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo.
Special mention though for Gareth who had a hissy fit at the Ref and got sent off, he wasn't even playing. Toys out of the pram the lot, toe to toe nose to nose. Comical stuff really it looked like George Foreman (size not colour) against Barry McGuigan.
Lost 2 – 0.

18/11 In our final match of the year we played a local derby against Yateley Green. Sorry to report not a good day for us. We didn't have the strongest squad available with several players being asked to play out of position, a couple of debutants and a kamikaze playing in goal. To be fair to Yateley they played some great football and it was evident they had played together for some time. At 3 – 0 the game was over for us, heads were down, there was no way back and it could of been really embarrassing.
Final Score 6 – 0.

06/01
A New Year a new start. A much improved attendance at training, quality additions to the squad and the return of proven goalscorer Kevin North.
It was the reverse fixture against FC Bracknell. Forgetting the last fixture against the two sides, all previous matches had been close affairs, so this was one we were looking forward to. We had the biggest squad of the season (16) to utilise at the match which certainly made a difference. For me it, a mere spectator, it was by far our best performance of the season. Not only because it was a game played in great spirit by both sides, it was good to see us play some decent football again right throughout the team. The new guys made a huge difference and the “roll on roll off” substitutions all worked well without disrupting the pattern of play. Best of all Kev marked his return with 2 well taken goals and the Mad Scotsman only had one effort of note to make.
Full Time (long overdue) 2 – 0 Victory.
